SPACELEMONS

THE RACE TEAM

Ludicrous ambition. Questionable horsepower.

The Spacelemons Subaru, styled as a space camper, flying through space

MISSION BRIEFING · 1:30

The mission

A deeply questionable space program

Spacelemons is a band of friends taking one very terrestrial 2004 Subaru to the 24 Hours of Lemons: the endurance race for cars that cost about as much as a nice laptop.

We do our own wrenching, in our own garage, with more enthusiasm than experience. Everything you see here actually happened. We are documenting all of it, including the parts that fall off.

Mission updates

  • We are on the air

Our mission briefing is live on YouTube and Instagram. Next up: Episode 1, covering the Laguna Seca test day.

  • First contact with a racetrack

Five drivers, one test day at Laguna Seca. The car ran every session and passed the sound check with room to spare. We came home with a fix list, a lot of onboard video, and our dignity mostly intact.
